On 13 March 2020 (Fri) and 20 March 2020 (Fri), MPUP co-organized two Career Workshops, one on CV and Cover Letter Writing and another one on Interview Skills with the Independent Learning Centre (ILC), CUHK in the form of webinar via Zoom exclusively for students of the Department of Government and Public Administration to equip them with the essential job search skills.

Dr Karl Holm, an experienced trainer from the ILC was invited to host the Workshops to offer participants some tips and strategies in planning for their job search.  Despite Dr Holm acquired a PhD in Biology at the Evolutionary Biology Centre at Uppsala University (Sweden), he also received a MEd in English and Swedish Languages and Literature at Stockholm University (Sweden) and possessed 15 years of experience in teaching English to international undergraduate and postgraduate students. Before joining the ILC, Dr. Holm worked in the private education industry in Hong Kong where he mainly focused on course content development, teacher training and evaluation.

During the Workshops, participants grasped the opportunity to consult Dr Holm for his professional advice on polishing their CV and Cover Letter and preparing for upcoming job interviews.
