MPUP students and alumni are cordially invited to join the Executive Training on “Using Big Data to Create Public Value: Opportunities, Challenges, and Strategies” at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on 26 – 28 Nov 2018.
Professor Wilson Wong, MPUP Programme Director, and Professor Chris Hinnant, MPUP Visiting Scholar in 2017-18, together with other experts from the faculties of Engineering and Computer Science of HKUST, would be sharing the major new technologies related to big data and discussing the strategies of managing them and their implications on the public sector.
More specifically, Professor Wong would shed light on how to use big data to enhance policymaking and open data policy. With regard to open data policy, it is one of the mandates made by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong in her policy address this year. It is also one of the most major policies being adopted by government worldwide in this era of big data and open government.
If you are interested in joining the training, please apply before 20 November 2018 (Tue).
