Recently, Dr Mark Michelson, teacher of MPUP5331 Government and the Economy, has organized two “Dialogues on Public Policy” with former and current HKSAR Government officials on March 30 and April 12 respectively for MPUP students to have interaction and exchange views with these practitioners.
On March 30, Ms. Cheryl Wilson, former Head, Tourism & Hospitality and Ms. Rowena Hoy, former Head, Consumer Products of Invest Hong Kong, HKSAR Government were invited to share their work experience in attracting strategic foreign direct investments (FDIs) and exchange views with students on domestic policies and politics in relation to attractiveness for foreign investments in Hong Kong.
For the April 12 session, students were offered the opportunity to learn from and interact with Ms. Salina Yan Mei-mei, Director-General of Trade and Industry and Ms. Jenny Lee Tsz Tung, Assistant Director-General of Trade and Industry (Multilateral Trade) of the Trade and Industry Department, HKSAR Government about formulating polices and strategies in Hong Kong at multilateral, regional and bilateral levels.
