o Copies of Official transcripts (with a complete record of courses attended and examination results) and grading schemes of all tertiary level studies (Note 1,2);
o Copies of certificates of academic/professional qualifications;
o Copies of Score reports/certificates showing you have fulfilled the English Language Proficiency Requirement (Note 3);
o Confidential recommendations from 2 referees (Note 4);
o Copy of identity card or passport;
o A statement of purpose of 500-600 words in English;
o Receipt of application fee $300 (not necessary for credit card payment through online application system).
Note
1. Once they receive an offer of admission, applicants are required to submit original copies of the official documents for verification by the conditions fulfillment deadline. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to register and commence studies at the University.
Official transcripts should be sent directly from the issuing university to “MSSc Programme in Public Policy, Room 523, Chen Kou Bun Building, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, Hong Kong” in a sealed envelope. Electronic original transcripts directly from the institutions to “publicpolicy@cuhk.edu.hk” are accepted.
CUHK students (Bachelor’s or higher degrees) are not required to submit the original transcripts, (not applicable to CUHK (Shenzhen) qualifications).
2. Applicants who obtained degrees from universities in Mainland China are required to provide a valid Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate (教育部學歷證書電子註冊備案表) issued by the CHESICC (學信網) together with their degree certificate and graduation certificate.
3. Upon admission, original valid official score report of TOEFL (University’s institution code: 0812)/ IELTS (Academic)/ GMAT (Verbal) sent directly from the test organization to the University will be required.
4. Confidential recommendations must reach the Programme directly from the referees. Applicants are required to input information of the TWO referees through the Online Application System for Postgraduate Programmes. Alternatively, applicants may download the blank confidential recommendation form and let the referees return the completed form to the Programme by email.
