Thanks to Professor Annie Tam, MPUP is delighted to host Miss Rosanna Law Shuk-pui, JP, a distinguished alumna of CUHK GPA who currently serves as the Permanent Secretary for Housing and Director of Housing at HKSAR Gov.
During her sharing on October 29, 2024, as part of the MPUP5803 Topical Studies in Public Policy III’s lecture, Miss Law shared valuable insights on the 2024 housing policy. Her presentation covered critical aspects, including household distribution, policy objectives, and housing strategies. The session also highlighted the latest developments in Hong Kong’s housing sector, emphasizing the government’s efforts to increase housing supply by providing a range of diverse housing units and ensuring resource efficiency to meet the needs of various income groups. Additionally, the discussion focused on initiatives such as the Light Public Housing Project and Transitional Housing Projects, demonstrating the government’s proactive approach to addressing short-term housing gaps and assisting individuals needing immediate housing solutions.
